How to get to the Start of the walk of Pizzo Carbonara:
Take the motorway Palermo-Catania. Exit Buonfornello, then follow the direction Collesano, then Piano Battaglia. When you arrive to the Ostello della gioventù , you can park there.Total Km from Palermo 84 km. Take a sandwich in Collesano or in Palermo...much cheaper. A Small Sandwich in the Ostello was 4 euros!!!
A very nice dog wanted to join me for all the trek....wow....what a great trekker...We also shared the food!!! :o) Pizzo Carbonara is the second Highest point in Sicily after Etna. When it's clear the Panorama from Pizzo Carbonara is Wonderful!...You can see all around Sicily.
